                                                                        Summary:

Patrick Bateman, a young, well to do man working on Wall Street at his father's company kills for no reason at all. As his life progresses, his hatred for the world becomes more and more intense.

But this film is adapted from a book : American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis: American Psycho is a novel by Bret Easton Ellis, published in 1991. The story is told in the first person by Patrick Bateman, a serial killer and Manhattan businessman. The book's graphic violence and sexual content generated a great deal of controversy before and after publication. The Observer notes that while "some countries so potentially disturbing that it can only be sold shrink-wrapped", "critics rave about it and "academics revel in its transgressive and postmodern qualities. In 2008, it was confirmed that producers Craig Roessler and Jesse Singer were developing a musical adaptation of the novel to appear on Broadway.

The book has been a sucess and a true literature work but the movie received only mixed reviews.

We really like the two works who present us how the society can make you become crazy.
